Question 1

What is Kiri?

Accepted Answer

Kiri is a children's health app that helps you keep track of your child's sleep, feeding, growth, symptoms, and development, and makes sense of the patterns for you. It sits between everyday parenting and pediatric care, so you know when something is normal, when it's worth watching, and when it's time to call the doctor.

Question 2

Is Kiri a replacement for my pediatrician?

Accepted Answer

No. Kiri is not a medical tool and only provides guidance, not diagnosis. When something needs attention, it helps you understand what's normal, what's not, and when to seek medical care. Kiri fits into how you already see your pediatrician by helping you prepare for doctor visits with the right information and questions.

Question 3

How is Kiri different from other baby apps?

Accepted Answer

Most baby apps track data or hand out generic parenting tips. Kiri was built around how pediatricians actually evaluate a child, using guidelines from the AAP, WHO, and CDC, and looks at your child's data as a whole rather than each thing in isolation. That way you catch things you'd miss if you were only looking at sleep or only looking at feeding.

Question 4

What devices does Kiri support?

Accepted Answer

Kiri is a native iOS app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. You can log by voice, tap, or photo from any of them, use Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for quick logging, and get reminders and notifications on your Watch so you can act without pulling out your phone.

Question 5

Can I import data from Huckleberry or Nara Baby?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you're coming from Huckleberry or Nara Baby, you can import your history into Kiri so you don't lose the tracking you've already done. Export the data from the other app and Kiri will bring it into your child's record.

Question 6

How does voice journaling work?

Accepted Answer

You can talk to Kiri the way you'd tell your partner about the day. In one voice note you can mention sleep, a feeding, a mood, a new symptom, a milestone, and a question for your pediatrician, and Kiri will pull each one out and file it in the right place. You don't have to structure it or say things in a certain order.

Question 7

What is AI Visit Scribe?

Accepted Answer

Visit Scribe records your pediatrician appointment and turns it into a clear summary. It transcribes the conversation, pulls out the key medical points and next steps, and files everything into your child's record. It can also suggest reminders based on what was discussed, like medication doses, follow-up appointments, or when to call back if something doesn't improve, and set them for you with one tap.

Question 8

What's on the Today screen?

Accepted Answer

Today shows you what's going on with your child right now: what's changed in sleep, feeding, or mood over the last day, patterns from the last week, and anything worth watching. It's a quick daily check-in.

Question 9

What is Up Next?

Accepted Answer

Up Next shows you what's coming for your child, including upcoming milestones, developmental leaps, expected sleep transitions, and vaccine reminders, so you know what to expect and can prepare.

Question 10

Can Kiri remind me of feedings, medications, and appointments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can set reminders for feedings, medication doses, pump times, appointments, and follow-ups. Reminders show up on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, so whichever device you have with you will notify you.

Question 11

Can I log with photos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can snap a photo of a rash, a diaper, a feeding amount, or a milestone moment, and it saves to your child's record with the date and time. You can pull up any photo at your next pediatrician visit or share it with a specialist to ask about.

Question 12

Can I share my child's data with our pediatrician?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Kiri can generate a PDF report with recent trends across sleep, feeding, growth, milestones, symptoms, and anything else worth talking about. You can email it to your pediatrician before a visit or bring it with you to the appointment.

Question 13

What is NapGenius?

Accepted Answer

NapGenius is adaptive nap scheduling that works from the newborn stage all the way through when your child drops their last nap. Instead of relying on rigid age-based charts, it looks at how your child is actually napping and suggests the best window for the next nap. As your baby grows and their sleep needs change, the schedule updates on its own.

Question 14

What is DreamGenius?

Accepted Answer

DreamGenius is a personalized two-week sleep training program developed with pediatric sleep specialist Courtney Palm. It's designed for babies 5 months and older, when they're developmentally ready for sleep training. It's not a PDF or tips list. It's a structured plan that considers your goals, your child's temperament, and your family's preferences, and helps your baby learn to sleep independently.

Question 15

How does DreamGenius differ from other sleep training programs?

Accepted Answer

DreamGenius is personalized to your child and family. It adapts based on your baby's age, temperament, and your comfort level. It was developed with a board-certified pediatric sleep specialist and has helped over 20,000 children sleep through the night within two weeks.

Question 16

Can I use NapGenius and DreamGenius together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. NapGenius handles daytime naps and DreamGenius handles overnight sleep training. They work together, so what happens during the day feeds into what happens at night, and vice versa.

Question 17

What are the specialist agents?

Accepted Answer

Seven AI specialists, each trained on evidence-based pediatric frameworks and your child's health history: Pediatrician (general health, fevers, illness), Sleep (patterns, regressions, transitions), Lactation (breastfeeding, pumping, supply), Nutrition (solids, allergies, diet), Development (milestones, concerns), Parent Support (wellbeing, postpartum), and Prenatal (pregnancy guidance).

Question 18

Are the AI specialists available 24/7?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Unlike office hours or nurse lines, Kiri's specialists are always available. Whether it's 2 AM and you're worried about a fever or midday with a feeding question, you get immediate, evidence-based guidance.

Question 19

How accurate are the AI specialists?

Accepted Answer

Every recommendation is grounded in published guidelines from the AAP, WHO, and CDC. Kiri shows you the reasoning behind each recommendation so you can see what it's based on, and it will always tell you when something warrants a call to your pediatrician.

Question 20

How does Kiri track milestones?

Accepted Answer

Kiri uses the CDC's milestone checklists to track your child's development from 2 months through 5 years, across four areas: social and emotional, language and communication, cognitive, and movement and physical. You check off milestones as your child hits them, and Kiri shows you which ones are typical for their age. If something looks delayed, Kiri will let you know so you can bring it up with your pediatrician.

Question 21

Are the milestone videos from the CDC?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Kiri includes the CDC's official milestone videos, so you can see real examples of what each milestone looks like. That way you know what to look for and can tell whether your child is doing it.

Question 22

Does Kiri track growth?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can log weight, height, and head circumference, and Kiri plots them against CDC and WHO growth curves so you can see where your child sits on the percentile chart over time. You can compare across visits and bring the chart with you to your next appointment.

Question 23

Can caregivers use Kiri?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can invite partners, grandparents, nannies, or babysitters to your care team. Everyone sees the same real-time updates, and you control what each person can view or edit so they only have what they need.

Question 24

Can I track multiple children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can add multiple children to your account, each with their own health profile, sleep schedule, and specialist history. Insights are personalized per child.

Question 25

Is my child's data safe with Kiri?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Kiri is HIPAA-aligned, COPPA compliant (including 2025 amendments), and CCPA compliant. Your data is encrypted, never sold, and never shared without your permission. We treat the security of children's health data as non-negotiable.

Question 26

Does Kiri use my data to train its AI?

Accepted Answer

Kiri only uses de-identified, aggregated data to improve its models. Your personal information and your child's identifiable health data are never used for AI training.

Question 27

Can I delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete your data anytime, no questions asked. Personal data is removed within 30 days of a verified account deletion request.

Question 28

Is Kiri free?

Accepted Answer

Core tracking is free. AI specialists, NapGenius, DreamGenius, and advanced guidance features require a subscription.

Question 29

Is there a free trial for premium features?

Accepted Answer

Yes. New users get access to all premium features during a trial period so you can try everything before deciding.
