The ABCs of safe sleep
Infant Safe Sleep Month is a yearly reminder that the smallest bedtime habits, repeated every night, are some of the most important choices a parent makes. It comes down to three simple ideas.
Alone
Baby sleeps in their own space, on a firm, flat mattress with a fitted sheet and nothing else. No pillows, bumpers, blankets, or soft toys.
Back
Always place baby on their back to sleep, for every nap and every night, until their first birthday.
Crib
A crib, bassinet, or play yard that meets current safety standards. Share a room, not a bed, ideally for the first 6 months.
